The CW hasn’t released a description for the season finale of Arrow, but we do have one for The Flash’s penultimate episode, and it’s an instalment packed full of massive cameos and some shocking reveals about what’s to come in the battle against the Reverse-Flash. Check it out…

STEPHEN AMELL, ROBBIE AMELL, WENTWORTH MILLER, LIAM MCINTYRE AND DOUG JONES GUEST STAR — As Wells (Tom Cavanagh) once again gets the upper hand on the S.T.A.R. Labs team, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he needs to make a big move and reaches out to an old foe, Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), for help. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) warn Barry that Cold can’t be trusted. True to form, Cold has his own agenda that involves the meta-humans trapped in the containment cells. As things seem to be going from bad to worse, The Flash gets reinforcements – Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) and Firestorm (guest star Robbie Amell). If you want your Arrow fix a day early, tune in to The CW tonight, as two characters from Arrow, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), show up on this evening’s episode of The Flash

Initial overnight ratings numbers for last night’s Flash are in. Final numbers can and will go up, especially when DVR and other things are factored in, but right now, it’s looking like 3.5 million viewers for “All-Star Team Up” and a 1.3/5 in the demo, keeping The Flash in the same ratings range as shows on ABC and FOX.

Earlier today, the photo to your left was posted on Instagram and Tweeted out by actress Ciara Renee, who plays Hawkgirl/Kendra Saunders in the upcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff project. Many have taken this as a clue that the actress would be in the Flash season finale, as the photo says “The Flash Welcomes Kendra Saunders.” (more…)

Barry Allen wakes up 9 months after he was struck by lightning and discovers that the bolt gave him the power of super speed. With his new team and powers, Barry becomes “The Flash” and fights crime in Central City.

As The CW’s newest DC Comics series – The Flash – heads into the final episodes of its first season, fans should expect storylines to begin wrapping up as well as another crossover with Arrow. The season-long mystery of the Reverse-Flash’s identity and how it relates to Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) has begun to unravel. Additionally, the show may be leading to the comic series Flashpoint, though that remains to be seen. All of these factors add up to a thrilling season finale of The Flash, but there are other story and character threads that will need to be tied up. (more…)
