Avengers: Age Of Ultron director Joss Whedon promises that we’ll be seeing “very many” deleted scenes when the movie eventually reaches DVD and Blu-ray; some of which he would have liked to include in the theatrical release.

When the first Avengers movie arrived on home release it came with some brilliant deleted content, including a couple of extra scenes with Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and Harry Dean Stanton’s security guard which I really wish had remained in the theatrical release of the film. Well, it sounds like we can expect plenty more of the same when its sequel hits Blu-ray and DVD. Flicks and The City asked directer Joss Whedon about it in this video interview, and he revealed that there’ll be a lot of deleted scenes for us to look forward to. Though he stresses it won’t be a “director’s cut”, he does admit that there’s a couple of moments he would have liked to have left in the original version of the movie.Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson and hits cinemas on May 1st, 2015.
